Troop 14 Newsletter for Wednesday, April 13th

Next meeting - Tuesday, April 19th at 7PM

On next troop meeting will be held at Go Gear! in Muskegon. There will be a demonstration on camping and hiking equipment.

The next Venture Club Meeting (for Scouts 13 and older) will be on Sunday, April 17th. See the email newsletter for details.

Flower Sales: One More Week

Troop 14's Flower Sale will run through April 19th.
Pictures are now available and will be sent in a separate message.
Pick-up dates will be Thursday & Friday evenings on May 5th & 6th.

Service Hours Opportunity: Earth Day Fair, April 16th

The Earth Day Fair is April 16th at the GH Community Center. We are looking for a few good scouts. See the newsletter for details.

COAST - Council Outdoor Adult Leader Skills Training - This Weekend!

COAST training will be held April 15-17th. This training will ensure that new leaders are proficient in basic outdoor skills pertaining to tent camping, outdoor cooking, fire building, and leadership.

If you are attending, please dress warm.

This Monday: Merit Badge: Swimming

Any scouts hoping to complete their Swimming Merit Badge can work on the badger requirements at the Spring Lake Aquatics Center on Monday, April 18th at 6:30 pm. Please bring your suits and googles.

Medical Exams

The medical exams are being done the evening of Wednesday, April 20th. They are free (although a donation to the Troop would be greatly appreciated!). These can count for Scouts and sports next year. Appointments may be set up. See the email newsletter for details.

Spring Court of Honor

This is a dinner and an awards ceremony to recognize scouts.

When: Tuesday, April 26th from 6 to 8:30 PM
Where: St. Mary's church in SL
Cost: $4.50, 5 and under = free.

RSVP: EVERYONE must call to confirm the number attending or send regrets by April 20th. See the email newsletter for details.

Set Up
Break Down
Serving
Presentation/Media

Eagle Ceremony

When: Sunday, May 1 at 2PM
Where: First Baptist Church.

All scouts and their parents are welcome to celebrate this ceremony.

NEW SCOUT FAMILIES - We hope you can plan on attending. This is a great way to show new scouts how all their hard work will eventually pay off.
