LOVE INC FOOD COLLECTION

Please bring non-perishable food items to the next few meetings. We will be collecting and donating these to Love INC.

In previous years, Troop 14 has been able to donate over 4,000 lbs of food to Love INC because of Haunted Hall. Without this event this year, there has been no drive for food. This has also been a year where other donations to Love INC have been AT AN ALL TIME LOW. We're hoping that each Scout can bring at least two non-perishable items.

For more information, see the emailed newsletter.

CRIME PREVENTION BADGE

On November 27th, Troop 14 worked with Captain Rick Yonker on the Crime Prevention merit badge.

An example showing how to fill out the blue card and Capt. Yonker's notes are available on the Troop Facebook page.

Scouts should also complete the Workbook found at http://meritbadge.org/wiki/images/0/07/Crime_Prevention.pdf. The information for Requirement 8f is also found in these notes.
A troop trip to the courts or jail is being planned. Troop 14 may also have a mock trial at Barber Street School in the future as a substitute.

Drop off: Friday, January 18th
For more information, see the emailed newsletter.
Pick up: Sunday, January 20th
For more information, see the emailed newsletter.

We have a total of 25 that have registered for the ski trip which means that if you already have a season pass you are able to sign up at the reduced rate of $86.00. Here is how that  price is calculated.

Trip cost $125

$26 - toward gas, pizza and snacks
$39 - All day lift ticket
$29 - Rental
$31 - Accommodations

The reduced cost for anyone that has a season pass is reduced by subtracting the lift ticket cost. The cost is not reduced for the rentals since we are still charged $99 per person from Caberfae.
