Troop 14 Newsletter for June 25th

Considering the tragic accidents that have happened in athletics ...please see below...

Athlete Heart Screenings will be held at Mercy Health Partners Youngberg Auditorium at Hackley.

Please encourage your student-athletes to get this done. Registration is through a special website:

The dates are all on Wednesdays and all are 6 to 9 pm:
June 27
July 11 and 25
Aug. 8 and 22

If an athlete was tested last year, they should consider going through the process again.

This year, Scout Troop 14 families will again be popping and passing out popcorn at this weekly music event at Mill Point Park on Thursday evenings from 6-8pm during the summer. The popcorn popper is located in the new concession stand! This is a fun way for your scout to earn some community service hours! We still have a few nights open: July 5th, August 16 and 24; plus, we will need two more families for a special night on Friday, August 24th when the Symphony is playing. See the newsletter for more information.

Citizenship in the World (Eagle Required) will be offered in the afternoon on Monday, July 9th and Wednesday, July 11th. Both sessions will be necessary to complete this merit badge. We will be doing this in the tech lab and spots are limited. Advance registration is necessary.

Note: If too many scouts sign up, the older scouts will be taken first due to the content level of this merit badge (10th-11th grade Social Studies).

Citizenship in the Community: This is a Eagle Required merit badge is GREAT for younger scouts, and it will be offered in the afternoon on Tuesday, July 31st. Registration required!
